I'm just writing to remind everyone of the "homework" assignment.
1) If you will be participating electronically, please try to e-mail something out by this next Saturday. We have two weeks until our next meeting, so I'm sure we'll all be a little forgiving if you get it out the week after that. Though, you'll lose points on the assignment (kidding!). Unless otherwise specified, we'll assume electronic responses are okay.
2) If you will be participating paperly (for lack of a better word), please be sure to bring enough copies for everybody at the next meeting. Also let us know if electronic responses are okay.
Please try to keep the writings relatively sized. I'd say in the neighborhood of 1,000 words (but that figure is purely a guideline, and totally negotiable).
If you have any special requirements for an electronic copy, please let us all know so we can be accommodating.
If you're reviewing, please try to get back to the author within a week. Since we have two weeks between meetings, that'll give everybody enough time to get those revisions in. However, I understand that since there are 8 of us, that'll mean everybody has 7 things to read in a week. In this case: the week isn't carved in stone. Just remember to give everybody the same respect that you yourself would expect. But I didn't need to tell you guys that.
If each of us doing 7 things (or more) in a week gets to be too much (I mean, we have to write sometimes too!), then maybe we can break it down into smaller review groups, to make sure everybody's getting the same benefits from the group. We can play that by ear.
